Today, I’ll be sharing an honest wine review and suggesting a pairing that complements this wine perfectly.

Today, we’re going to be pairing a Carmenere out of Maule Valley, Chile, and a delicious Chilean dish.

And I know Adam really wanted to see what I was going to pair it with.

This is a 2016 Carmenere out of Maule Valley, Chile.

Chilean Plateada

So let’s go ahead and see what we’re pairing it with.

When we were thinking about what to pair this with, I said, let’s get traditional.

So we went ahead and did a Chilean Plateada.

It’s going to be slow cooked brisket with a bunch of deliciousness.

Let’s try this Wandering Wines Carmenere and see how this pairing is.

2016 Carmenere out of Maule Valley.

Hmm.

Smells good.

Let’s see the alcohol on this.

13 and 1/2, smooth.

I’d say nice medium body.

Oh, I have to take a bite out of this plateada, give you a little inflection there.

Hmm.

De-lish-ess.

A moment of truth.

You know what they say, what grows together goes together.

I think this is a natural fit.

Brisket doesn’t really grow there, technically, this one, but it’s a classic Chilean plateada and our Wandering Wines 2016 Carmenere out of Maule Valley.
