Howdy, wine drinker.
I’m Jacob from I Want You to Drink More Wine.
In this video, I’m going to be sharing an honest wine review and suggesting a pairing that complements this wine perfectly.
Today, we’re going to be pairing one of my favorite dishes.
We’re going to be doing chicken biryani and Albariño.
Let’s check out our wine.
Bodega Garzón Albariño Varietales 2015
As you can see here, we have a Garzón Albariño.
Now, this is interesting to me.
Because it’s an Albariño from Uruguay, which I’ve never had before.
This is 14.5% high alcohol.
I’m interested in seeing how this goes with our chicken biryani.
So let’s go ahead and check out our pairing.
As you can see here, we have a delicious chicken biryani.
Took us about two hours to cook this thing up.
It looks amazing.
I’m going to take a bite and see how it goes with our wine.
Are you ready for this?
I don’t know what it is about chicken biryani.
I think it’s the basmati rice that I just love.
With all the different flavors, saffron.
This is garnished with a little bit of cilantro.
Let’s go ahead and take one more bite and see how it goes with the wine.
We have our Albariño here.
Oh, it smells very fresh, fruity.
A lot of citrus.
A Pairing Worth Sharing With Friends
This pairing has always been one of my favorites.
I have friends that really make delicious chicken biryani.
And I always, every time Katie and I go visit, and they make this, I always bring myself an Albariño.
And they love it.
I highly recommend that you try this pairing.
If you’re going to get the recipe, you can get the recipe that we use for this right up here.
And if you’re going to try this wine, Vivino has it average price is $16.99.
You can’t beat that.
I see one buying option, Passion Vines I picked this up, Lucky’s Market.
$16.99, chicken biryani, you have to try it.
The Albariño and this dish, phenomenal.
